We had the best luck this past year when our wedding menu tasting landed on the same week as the Disney’s Fairytale Weddings Showcase! We recently moved out of southern California to southern Washington, so we were hoping to only take one trip, and it worked out perfectly!
The showcase we attended was on February 27th, 2022, and tickets were on sale in advance. There was a ticket option for just the showcase which highlighted decor options, venue tours, and even had a vendor fair to meet a few of Disney’s approved vendors. There was an additional ticket option which included a menu tasting in the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion, one of the reception venues at the Disneyland Hotel. We opted out of this option since we had created a custom vegan menu for our wedding.
Checking into the showcase was easy! Behind the Adventure Tower at the Disneyland Hotel, there is a walkway that leads to the Rose Court Garden, and the check-in table was right in the middle of this walkway. We checked in about 30 mins early, which I recommend, because the line gets pretty long the closer you get to the start time!
After we checked-in, we received a little goodie envelope with our name badge, a USB with some photos and information about the venues and pricing, as well as a little carriage pin and some chocolates! It was the perfect touch to start the showcase.
We spent some time walking around looking at the gorgeous decor options they had, as well as tasting some of the food options that were available. It was so nice to be able to see what was possible, since majority of the Disney Wedding planning is custom — you tell them your vision, and they help it come to life! I was pleasantly surprised to even have a vegan pizza option to try at the showcase, Disney is so accomodating, and it’s very appreciated!
Here are a few of my favorite decor setups at the Disney’s Fairytale Weddings Showcase.
Don’t forget to say hi to Mickey and Minnie while you’re there!!
Seeing the way they decorated the venues was my favorite part of the showcase, especially since the Rose Court Garden and the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion were our venue locations. The florals were gorgeous, the attention to detail was impeccable, and the Disney touches were subtle, yet enchanting.
We also met one of our favorite vendors at the showcase, White Rabbit Photo Boutique, who ended up taking our in-park photoshoot after our wedding, and it is so nice to meet these vendors in person since a lot of the planning was online during this time.
There were also quite a few fun things to do such as a 360-degree photo booth, as well as seeing the beautiful Cinderella Carriage in person! (There just so happens to be a new carriage coming to Disneyland soon, so who knows if there is a sneak peek at this year’s showcase!)
