Summer in Paris was a dream. As expected.
If you know me, you know Paris has been my ideal travel destination since I was a kid. I have a vivid memory growing up of going away for a weekend and coming back to my room being decorated as a Parisian dream.
I love ballet, croissants, macarons, and took French in school, so you could say I was so ready to finally step foot in Paris. And I have to say, Paris didn’t disappoint.
We flew into Paris through Air Canada, making a stop in Toronto then heading straight to CDG. We immediately took an express train to Disneyland Paris upon landing, and started our journey there.

Having been a Disneyland California girl my whole life, finally going to another Disney park was surreal; Disneyland Paris was bigger than I could’ve ever imagined. The castle was so beautiful and enormous! The main street shops were all Americanized which was so funny to see how our culture was portrayed in Paris. Everything was just so big and incredible, basic adjectives don’t do it justice. You’ll have to see for yourself.
We stayed one night at Disneyland Paris, then spent the next day in the park until about 2pm when we took a cab to our hotel in the Latin Quarter – Hotel Jardin du Cluny. I can’t say enough amazing things about this hotel. The included breakfast was delicious. I still dream about the Bon Maman vanilla applesauce I devoured each morning, and the macarons I leisurely ate with a cup of tea.
After arriving at our hotel, we freshened up and got ready to take a cab to the Palais Garnier to watch the ballet Histoire de Manon. It was magical, unexpected, funny, and melancholy. I will have to make a whole post on the ballet in the future.

It may have taken me 2 years to write this post, but because the Parisian air is still swirling in my mind, I haven’t forgotten a single detail. I dream of Paris every day & I will until I wake up there again.
Til next time Paris.
